Do buyers have to install anything?
No. Whoever buys or receives a voucher opens it in their phone’s browser, without installing anything or creating an account. A photo of the QR or the voucher printed on paper works too.
Short answers to what organizers, staff and buyers ask us the most.
No. Whoever buys or receives a voucher opens it in their phone’s browser, without installing anything or creating an account. A photo of the QR or the voucher printed on paper works too.
With signal, nothing: the scanner is a page that opens in the phone’s browser. To keep handing out if the signal drops, the team uses the Android app, which is set up the day before with internet.
With signal, the server checks every voucher. If the signal drops, your team keeps handing out under strict rules: one phone per station, each voucher is worth one unit at its own station, and the cashier takes cash only. When the signal comes back, everything uploads on its own.
If two stations that can’t see each other receive the same voucher without signal, both may hand it out: it’s caught afterward, when the signal comes back, not before. That’s why, without signal, each voucher is valid at only one station. Card payments aren’t taken without signal either.
For buyers, yes: they open their voucher in the browser of any phone. Staff with an iPhone use the scanner page, with internet. The app to keep going with no signal is for Android only.
Setting up and testing is free. The Free plan covers up to 150 QR per event, with ads. For more, you add packs of 500 to 50,000 QR, no ads, even on the day of the event.
Packs are paid online. Payment is processed by Paddle, the merchant of record, which also sends you the invoice. Currency: GTQ, to be confirmed.
Yes. An unused pack is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of purchase, with the purchase number from the Paddle receipt. An event in progress is never cut off because of a refund.
The data of your participants, buyers and team is yours: Redeemit stores it on your behalf and doesn’t give it to anyone. It’s kept for up to 12 months after the event closes; then it’s deleted or made anonymous.
Yes. Every voucher can be printed with its QR, and if a station is left without a phone, it keeps handing out with the printed list for its spot.
In the public demo: you ask for a voucher from a made-up fair, see it on your phone and scan it with the sample scanner. No account, no data and nothing to pay.
The site is in Español, English, Français, Deutsch, Português, 中文, 日本語. Translations are reviewed by people who speak each language; for legal texts, if there are differences, the Spanish version prevails.
You close the event and get its summary: what was sold, what was handed out and anything odd. Whatever is left in a pack carries over to another of your events for 12 months. People’s data is deleted or made anonymous after 12 months.
“Redeem it” means just that: it’s what everyone does with their voucher when they reach the station.
